By downloading or using Vestfolio, you agree to these terms and to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which governs your license to the app.
Vestfolio is an informational tool that does arithmetic on numbers you enter about your equity compensation. It is not tax advice, legal advice, investment advice, or financial planning, and nothing in the app is a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or exercise anything. Vestfolio is not a brokerage and never touches your actual shares or money.
Every figure in the app is an estimate. Tax estimates apply flat rates to gross value and do not model your real tax situation — total income, filing status, deductions, wage-base limits, AMT, state and local rules, or timing. Options are shown at intrinsic value only. Share prices come from a third-party provider, may be delayed, and may be wrong; private-company prices are whatever you entered. Your grant agreement — not this app — governs what you actually own. Talk to a qualified professional before acting on anything the app shows you.
Vestfolio requires an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or annual), purchased through your Apple account, with a free trial where offered. Payment is charged to your Apple account at confirmation. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel any time in your Apple account's subscription settings. Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by region. Refunds are handled by Apple under their standard policies.
Your data lives only on your device (see the Privacy Policy). Keeping a backup of anything important — including CSV exports — is up to you. Deleting the app deletes your data.
Don't reverse-engineer, resell, or misuse the app, and don't use it where prohibited. The market data feed is for your personal, non-commercial use inside the app.
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any losses or damages arising from use of the app, including decisions made in reliance on its estimates. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
These terms may be updated as the app evolves; material changes will be noted in the app or on this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
